An Invitation To The Open Dragon Du Morbihan 2010

Dear BDA Sailors,

With this special invitation, I am delighted to announce that with the permission of the French Dragon Association (Asfid), and the approval of the IDA, that my club, Yacht Club du Crouesty Arzon (YCCA) is organising a new event entitled "OPEN DRAGON DU MORBIHAN" which will take place from 9-12 September 2010. Six races will be sailed in the Bay of Quiberon. This is one of the best racing venues in France, if not in Europe. It is a completely unrestricted racing area with very little current and a short sail to the racing area.

The club has an outstanding reputation for organising good events, catering for après sail refreshments for the sailors, combined with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The shore logistics are second-to-none in that beside the club there is plenty of space for launching and parking for 4x4's, and trailers.  Hotels, apartments, B&B's and restaurants are within walking distance of the club.

The club has appointed me as PRO, come and join me, and the YCCA RC team; our aim will be to give you the best possible racing.

The venue is easy to get to, especially for those who are on their way to Cannes and/or St Tropez, or just wish to spend a few days in the region. Excellent secure boat storage is available free of charge before and after the event.

The Port du Crouesty is located at the southern entrance to the Golf du Morbihan, which is one of the most historically and environmentally important areas of France. There are excellent road links to the area, plus airports at nearby Lorient and Nantes, so getting to and from the event couldn't be easier.
