Calling All Dragons For Cowes Classic Week 2010 - Incorporating the Dragon British Classic Championship

All Dragons are invited to take part in the 2010 edition of Cowes Classic Week which takes place from 17-24 July in Cowes and will incorporate the Dragon British Classic Championship.  All Dragons are eligible to enter the event and the fleet will race as one with the Classics additionally being scored separately. 

The event combines great Solent racing each day with some fabulous social events and the opportunity to be part of one of Europe's foremost Classic regattas.  The timing couldn't be better for those looking to enjoy a full summer of Solent based Dragon sailing.  Dragon sailors can arrive in Cowes for the South Coast Championship and Edinburgh Cup (27 June - 4 July), take in Cowes Classic Week (17-24 July), race at Cowes Week (31 July - 7 August) and finally round out their stay on the Isle of Wight by taking part in Yarmouth Regatta (14-15 August).

The Solent Fleet has negotiated a special ferry deal with Red Funnel that will be available to all boats racing in the Edinburgh Cup and can be extended for use in association with the other Cowes events.  Solent Fleet Captain Richard Cullen would be delighted to hear from any Classic Dragon owners considering travelling to the event and the Solent Fleet is on standby to provide support and assistance to all visiting Dragon sailors.  Please e-mail Richard on rcullen@wightwireless.com if you are thinking of attending or would like assistance with accommodations, moorings or more information about special ferry deals.
